Championship Points System - Issue No.16
(Valid until release of issue No. 17)
All Solo Classes
1.	The following will be responsible for recording the respective Championships: 
Lesley Reaney - Event 1 - Pre-35, Event 2 -250cc, Event 5 - 501cc-U/L., Event 4 - U/L to 48, Event 6 - 500cc, Event 11 - Novice, Event 3  - 350cc,  
Muriel Fanthorpe - Event 15 - Norton, Event 16 - Velocette.  	
Gerry Daine Solo & S/Car C of C.	
Mick Nash De Villiers - Event 10 - Bantams.  
Jane Allison , Event 7A - Specials upto 500cc and Event 7B -Specials over 500cc
2.	Queries regarding championship scoring should initially be in writing via the Secretary of the Meeting.
3.	You will only be able to enter the event if your machines is eligible and registered for that event.
4.	In the 250, 350, 500, 501-Unlimited, Novice, Bantam, over 500cc Specials class and both Champion of Champions races the first ten 	finishers in each race will score points of 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
5.	In Events 1 (Pre 35) and Event 4 (U/L to 48) the first ten finishers in each race will score from the points table below as per cc capacity.   Trophies will be awarded to the first three in each class.  The Championship Trophy will be awarded to the rider with the most points from the three classes.

6.	Rigid, girder forked or plunger machines in a race containing swinging arm machines will gain points for one place higher than that in which they actually finish.  If they finish first they will receive extra points equal to the difference between first and second.  (i.e. 15 + 3 points.)  N.B. This does not apply to Event 4 where points will be scored from the table regardless of suspension type.
7.	The upto 500cc Specials class will be scored as three classes (upto 250, 251-350 and 351-500).  Upto 250cc will gain points for two places higher than that in which they actually finish, 251-350cc will gain points for one place higher than that in which they actually finish.  If they finish first they will receive extra points equal to the difference between first and second.  (i.e. 15 + 3 points.) as per finishing place as follows for each class 15,12,10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1.  Trophies will be awarded to the first three in each class.  The Championship Trophy will be awarded to the rider with the most points from the three classes.
8.	Awards will be given to the first three in the Specials, Novice, Norton and Velocette championships.  The Bantam Championship will have awards down to tenth place.  The other solo championships will normally receive awards down to sixth place.  These numbers may 
	be revised up or down at the discretion of the Awards Committee.
9.	At each meeting there will be a Solo Champion of Champions race with points scored counting towards the Champion of Champions title.  The leading ten in the championship at the time will automatically qualify for the race and will normally be printed in the race programme.  The balance of the grid will be riders finishing 1st and 2nd place in events 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7a, 7b and 10.  The race will be a handicap event. The first ten finishers will score 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.  The first ten in the championship will receive awards and the winner will be allocated the No. 1 plate for the following season. 
10.	A Novice Championship race will be handicap races held at every meeting. The first ten finishers will score 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
Sidecar and Three-wheeler 
1.	Judith Alcock will be responsible for recording points for Events 8, 9A and 9B.
2.	The first ten in any championship race will score points from the table below.

3.	There will be a Sidecar/Three-wheeler Champion of Champions Race with points scored counting towards the Champion of Champions title.  The leading ten in the championship at the time will automatically qualify for the race and will normally be printed in the race programme.  The first ten finishers in this event will score 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.  In the Champion of Champions, Sidecar and Three-wheeler championships the first six will normally receive awards subject to the level of entries.  
4.	The winner of the title Champion of Champions will be allocated the No.1. Plate for the following season.
